hi,
I have written a subroutine including "USDFLD" and "HETVAl" and "FRIC" and I am pretty sure it is correct. In my "cae" file I need to define contact algorithm. My problem is this:
when I use "node-to-surface" contact it works well ,but when I use "surf-to-surf" contact it goes just for "6" increments no matter how big is the size of increment. If I use 0.00001 for increment size or 0.1 it just goes up to increment 6th and then sticks there for like ever.
Has anyone faced such an issue? Can anyone help me, I would appreciate it.
thanks,

Don't you think it might be relevant to mention at least the FEA program you're using?

Sorry, I should have mentioned it. I am using Abaqus.

OK, so why not post directly in the Abaqus forum?
