Hi,

We are busy to service an economiser on a local power station. However, we are encountering extreme difficulties in dropping some of the elements due to interlocking fins, distorted tubes, loose fins acting as stoppers, etc.

We are running out of time and I was hoping to find some sort of solution from this forum. We tried to put plates alongside the element that needs to be dropped (acting as a sliding guide) but due to the buckled tubes deeper down, we can't get it all the way through.

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

I would guess that you need to either mechanically spring the assemblies on either side using chain falls or you need to cut and lift additional assemblies to make the necessary tube/fin repairs and slip them back into their original location.
