Hi.

I've recently been trying to use relations to reduce the amount of dimensions i need to edit when resizing my part.

This usually consists of Tools > Relations. Then adding something on the line of

sd1=10

sd0=sd1*10

This works for me inside of sketches. But Outside of the sketch, on the main level, it will not work. For example

d0=10

d1=d1*10

Can anybody help me with this problem?

Thanks in advance, Lukas

d1=d1*10

That won't work, you have the same dimension on both sides of the equation

Hi, Thanks for your reply

That was my mistake, for the example i mean d1=d0*10.

The problem i am having is it wont let me create relations on the top level, only within the sketch. I would like to create top level relations so i can include extrude length and cross feature relations.

Does this highlight my problem more?

Thanks in advance, Lukas

Hi, problem solved. The relations do work, i started my part again, and it worked fine. I think the problem built up, i know define my relations at every step, rather than all at the end.

Thanks
