printing solidworks drawing missing lines

I am running sw 2007 sp 2.2. drawing looks fine on machine but when it is printed lines disappear. I have adjusted all available print settings to no avail. any help in a direction would be greatly appreciated.

Are the lines on different layers in the drawing? Could it be a color issue?

If the printer preview looks OK but the print is faulty it is usually a printer driver issue.

We fixed a similar problem like CBL said. Our old HP LaserJet 5100 had a bad pcl version/driver (?) and after changing versions,everything printed correctly.

What do you mean the lines are on the same layer? Did you draw lines on the drawing sheet?

a co-worker and i both have the same print driver installed he can print i can not. seems to be a gremlin....

it is a HP LaserJet 5100 PCL 6. where did you get the fix from?

We have HP PCL 6 and PCL 5e. I don't rememember if we got it off of the support site because we lost the install cd. If you know where to find them on the PC, I will copy it and upload it for you.

i visited the hp site and downloaded the latest driver. the promblem i had was sporadic. everything prints now, so hopefully it is fixed. thanks to all for your help.

You never mentioned if the Print preview shows up or not... you just mentioned that your colleague has the same one... IMO that doesn't matter, because each of those drivers were install separately on 2 different machines. So just because they are the same doesn't mean its going to be perfect for both, because one could change something on one computer that it doesn't on another.

Glad to see you got it fixed, but CBL actually answered this correctly and it turns out to be the driver anyway.

Is it happening with all views and sections? I had problems with sectioning and details views. I went to the view where it was created and edited the sketch and then select re-build.
