Hello all,

Is there a method to print just the zoomed-in selection or dwg view rather than the whole page & all views in a slddrw?

Thanks

An easy question for a change. :)

AutoCAD does this much easy than SolidWorks. In AutoCAD, it's a simple matter of printing the view on the screen or printing a window.

In SolidWorks 2007 and earlier, open the drawing and zoom to fit. Goto pulldown File>Print. On the print screen, select Selection in the Print Range area and click OK. This will pull up a second smaller window. You control the window size by adjusting the scale (custom). Pick something like 10:1 to start with, and apply. This will allow you to see how the scale affects the print area box size on your view pane. To change the windows size, change the scale in the print window. You can move the print box around on the view pane over the area you wish to print. Than OK.
