I have designed and built a burst testing machine that pressurizes vessels at a rate of 80-100 PSI/Second usind an analog feedback control system that regulates the flow 100 times a second. On the older machine we have here, the pressure is generated by a diaphram pump that pulsates pressure at a rate of 70+- PSI per stroke and then regens to pump again. The new system uses a booster cylinder and generates linearly until failure of the vessel. Both systems use water as a medium.<br>

Problem: With the old tester, I am getting failures at 700 PSI+- and with the new system, I am getting failures at 500PSI+-. Both vessels were taken at the same time from the press and assembled the same way and from the same batch of material. ( Talc PolyProp ) I have had both systems calibrated and the gauges are extremely accurate. Where am I going wrong ???
