Are pressure transducers such as GE or Campbell Scientific, need to be installed in upright position?

No, there is nothing about typical pressure transducers that requires a specific orientation.
Sometimes, electrical enclosures may exhibit better environmental resistance in certain positions. Otherwise, keep your techs in mind and install in a position that provides best serviceability.

If you're referencing the submersible style transmitters, such as those used as hydrostatic head pressure level transmitters, if you let it lie horizontally on the bottom of sludge pit, then sludge could cover and fill the sensing diaphragm and prevent a true pressure reading.

Regardless of mounting orientation, they are subject to dynamic forces from flow currents due to draining, filling, mixing, pump suction or pressure.

Most pressure sensors are one-piece stainless steel rods that are milled/drilled down to a paper-thin layer with a strain gauge glued to the back of the paper thin section. Because of that the process fluid can in-no-way leak past the diaphragm. But as Dan points out don't be submerging them unless they specifically state that as a feature.
