I am replacing a section of carbon steel piping (24" diameter). The pipe supplies ccoling water at ambient temperature and is downstream of the last shutoff valve. The cooling water flows through many 1/4" cooling holes so back pressure in the pipe reaches approximately 200 psig. I have no way to hydrostat the section of piping. Is a hydrostat required per ASME B31.3 or any other standard?
