Practical experience with S-TEN in flue gas treatment / sulfuric acid?

Hi Community,
for a project on flue gas cooling below the acid dew point, several materials are discussed, among them S-TEN1 and S-TEN2 steel.
These are - per composition - weathering steels. According to manufacturers information, the performance in sulfuric acid over a wide concentration range is superior to ordinary (carbon) steel, other weathering steels and also some stainless steels.
The outstanding stability of the S-TEN 1 is due to the formation of a CuSb-layer. But S-TEN2 does not contain Sb.
I have some difficulties understanding this performance, and am looking for infos about practical experience with S-TEN:
(1) manufacturers of weathering steels state that weathering steels can suffer high corrosion if exposed to immersed conditions (e.g. pooling water). Why is S-TEN2 that superior to other weathering steels?
(2) the corrosion resistance of stainless in sulfuric acid is related to the content of Cr and Mo. S-TEN exhibit low Cr and no Mo. Is CuSb that stable in sulfuric acid? What about S-TEN2 with no Sb?
(3) Corrosion resistance of carbon steel is related to protective sulfate layers, that can be affected mechanically, e.g. at high fluid velocities. Cu-based layers might be more stable, which I don't know. Are CuSb stable against mechanical impact?

Thanks a lot!
Reinhard
