Dear All.
Im sorry for this kind of Q.
Problem is vacation at the lot of Xfr mnf.

Im locking for some cost evaluation, for me enough also numbers like X, 2/3X, etc.

We have two options for some industrial power plant:
1. One Xfr 60/85MVA ONAN/ONAF with OLTC Y/D 170/11.5kV Uk=17-18% ( for this, I have values , 1500000 USD up to 200000USD)
2. Two Xfr 14MVA 11.5/22kV with OLTC Uk= 14-16%.( for this, about 500000 USD)

Second option:
two Xfr 30/45MVA ONAN/ONAF with OLTC Y/D/D or Y/Y/D 170/22/11.5kV Uk=17-18%. ( for this from 900000 up to 1700000 USD).

Values not seems for me on this moment, so much difference.

Slavag, 85MVA at 11kV is a lot of current. Have you got switchgear available that can cope with 4500A? We use dual secondaries and split the load over two 11kV circuit breakers at the larger capacities.
The prices for the first two look in the right ball park. I think for your second option 900k-$1.7M is too high. I'd expect $800k- $1.1M.
Obviously there's a bit of guesswork and extrapolation in there as we don't use 170kV.
Hopefully one of the transformer guys will chip in.

The maximum of Xfr 60/85MVA I think could be 2*10^6 $ instead of 2*10^5 $ ?
I agree with Marmite that the price of Xfr 30/45MVA is exaggerate a little [mainly the maximum could be 1.2 *10^6 ].
Also, I think that the losses price has to be somehow involved.
Our purchasing people do this often.
This could be an example:

Planned Start-up year: 2010
Operating Life (years): 20
Discount Rate: 6.5%
Expected Demand:
h/yr load cooling
5250 100% forced
1500 75% forced
1300 1% natural
Losses Costs:
Losses $/kW
No Load (Iron) 3140
Load (Copper) 2630
Cooling 2800
If losses price is low the xtrf price may be higher and lower if the losses are high.

OK, Im happy, we are on the safe side.

Marmite, I was involved in this project before four days.
I know, 4000A for the 11.5kV seems a lot of current.
Also additional few... Becouse this someone ask me check another options of primary configuration. It's IPP (CCPP) with parallel connection to grid.

For oil filled power transformers I have found $75k per MVA to be a good estimeate. (USD)
 
Some actual purchase prices:

2004-2005 Before the market went so crazy 2-20/27/33/37 MVA units, 115/12.47 kV at $225,000 each.

2- 25/33/41/46 MVA units, 230/24 kV for $275,000 each.

2007-2008 1-115/24 kV, 20/27/33/37 MVA was $635,000.

None had load tap changers, all had de-energized taps on primary.

Recently estimated a 230/34 kV 40 MVA base unit with load tap changer at 1,250,000.
