Require a passive alternative to pfc as opposed to the switch mode option. International Rectifier app.note AN998 briefly describes a technique "Valley-Fill Passive PFC". I am searching for more details on this. Any experiences or literature references would be welcomed.<br>

have you been succesful so far? i am having problem of my own. any idea how to estimate power factor correction needed from a typical installation? what is the right procedure to obtain this info? i base this calculation purely on statistical taking a ratio of similiar installation, i.e., production capacity.
any idea how to configure the power factor regulator with combination of 50kVAr and 100 kVAr?. [sig][/sig]
