Hi Everybody,

My question is regarding transformation of results from rectangular coordinate system to cylindrical coordinate system. I created quarter symmetric cylinder model and I wanted to see results in cylindrical coordinate system. When I see output for COORDS->COOR1 (which is the radial coordinates in cylindrical coordinate system), I am getting some weird output (see the attached picture). Ideally, we should expect concentrated contours of colors in output display. With 90 deg. angular rotation, radial co-ordinates are changing from +4.76 to -6.35 in the same plane along the circumference of the cylinder. How is it possible? Can somebody please explain this discrepancy? Origin of the coordinate system is defined at the center of the cylinder cross section.
Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks,

Nik

I've just tried with 6.13-1 and it worked fine. Maybe you've referred to the wrong CSYS.
