Portable Generator feeding a Transformer

Greetings,
Do you see any issues with having a 300kW generator feeding loads on 600kVA transformer, given that total kVA size of the load connected to the transformer is less than 300kW.
In other words, the transformer is half loaded and is not going to demand load up to its nameplate rating from the genset.

Thanks for the mention Keith.
Isn't that the way large generators and Generator Step-Up transformers are energized?
If there are other loads on thr generator, drop them off and stop the generator.
Then start the generator with the transformer connected.
Then re-energize the other loads.
