Hey guys,

im working on my master's thesis and i'm trying to find out why most papers i read always seem to use the GTN failure model in a subroutine instead of using the GTN model provided by Abaqus, called porous metal plasticity.
Also i'd like to know when the porous metal plasticity was implemented in Abaqus. Is there any site with all update notes for abaqus?

I would also like to know the explanation for this, is there any shortcoming in the GTN model incorporated in ABAQUS??
