Dear all,

I am trying to develop a poroelastic model of bone, and the intrinsic permeability values are very low (10^-24 m^2). I'm having a problem when going from higher permeability material properties to lower permeability.

The obtained pore pressure distribution results in a weird pattern, with node of low pore pressure surrounded by high values (as shown in the attached picture).

I'm really confused by what is happening. I am not an expert in finite element modelling, so I'm not sure if this is some sort of numerical inconsistency.

Hope you can help me.

Best,
Andre
