Polystrene Adhesive

I am attempting to adhere to polystrene surfaces together as uniformly as I can using PL300, made by Lafarge. I am finding it difficult to obtain a nice uniform surface. Is there a better adhesive I should be using ? Any help will be greatly acknowledged.
