Hi,
I'm going to do polymer screening tests for bio-fuel cells.
The polymers should consist of a neutral matrix (e.g. poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) or silicone) combined with some ionic polymers ("polyelectrolytes (PE)", e.g. anionic PEs like poly(stryrenesulfonic acid) or cationic PEs like polyethyleneimine). I'm going to test several representative PEs from each of the following groups:
strongly acidic PE
weakly acidic PE
weakly alkaline PE
strongly alkaline PE
The PEs should be well miscible with (PVA) or some silicone lieke polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), stable in physiological ambient and biocompatible (although not critical in screening tests)
Can anybody recommend me some appropriate PEs?
Many thanks in advance!
