I am hoping someone can answer a couple questions for me. If I was to was wanting to place a 3 1/2" x 3/16th x 45ft above ground square steel pole, what would be required for the base to be safe. This pole will have a solid 2ft dish on the tip. Ground is at best red clay or mixture of clay and sand. Pole will have a 8in slip coupler welded on bottom piece at 20ft with 2 5/16 set bolts to secure the top 25-30 ft

Hire an engineer to run proper calcs... defending yourself in court based upon feedback from random people on the internet (who may or may NOT be engineers) is sheer folly. Your lawyer should be advising you of such.
