Reading one of the preceding threads, I came across an exchange on Poisson's ratio.
As far as I know, the usual source of this parameter is literature tables, such as the one contained in Bowles.
Time ago I came across the following table from Gazetas (Foundation Engineering handbook, 1991 edition, page 558), which I'd like to share since it relates PR directly to saturation degree, highlighting the small sensitivity this parameter has to soil type:
Saturated clays and sands, beneath the Water table: 0.50
nearly saturated clays, above the WT: 0.40
Wet silty sands (Sr 50 to 90 %): 0.35
Nearly dry sands, stiff clays and rocks: 0.25
