We use an excel spreadsheet to calculate moisture density values for ASTM 1557 ( sim T 180) and would like to use excel to plot the resulting curve. We are have trouble with units, labeling etc. Does anyone know of an available spreadsheet solution? Reasonable cost is ok.

I wrote an excel macro and spreadsheet program to calculate the standard proctor maximum dry density for my previous employer. It generated the wet and dry curves and printed a report. Unfortunately I cannot give the spreadsheet to you, and I doubt they would be willing to release it. However, I am sure I can help you solve your problems. What kind of problems are you having?

samaclane,

Spears Engineering ( offers a suite of excel and word templates for download. They ask for a $20.00 donation to maintain their web site in return.

I haven't used them (I just web searched for them) so caveat emptor.

Hope this helps.

Jeff
