I have recently started working on abaqus and I have been trying to make a spur gear simulation. I have managed to make the interactions tangential and normal and was able to coupled the inner diameter of the gear. I have applied the load on the pinion and the boundary conditions on both the gear and pinion. In the results, my pinion is rotating and so is the gear but the teeth are overlapping and the pinion is slightly expanding.
Can someone please help me with my model..?
