We are in search of a database template, or canned package, that can track our PLC hardware. We would like to track by part number, location, and quantity. I started an Access database, but quickly got over my head when it came to the queries. Has anyone seen such a program?

The database doesn't have to be aware that it's tracking PLCs, or what a PLC is.

Any old "Where did I put that POS?" database should do.

That broadens the scope of your search, right?

Any inventory tracking program would do. Heck, KISS it and just use excel.

You could use one of the canned templates in Access. Either Inventory or Asset Management and let Access create the queries for you.
