Any good suggestions for a material (plastic) for a manifold for a plating fixture using the following:

1% potassium silver cyanide
1% potassium carbonate
in DI water
This solution comes out to a pH of about 14

Its use will be infrequent but it needs to last a number of rounds of parts. Also a good o-ring / gasket material suggestion for the seals would be appreciated.
thanks
Ron

People frequently fabricate these out of HDPE. Buy slabs at a comercial plastic house like Caddilac Plastics.

HDPE is a good suggestion.

PVC pipe might also work.

You will need to look up the chemical resistance of PVC in a polymer suppliers literature, but at room temperatures, PVC generally has good chemical resistance.

Various pipe size and fittings can be purchases at hardware stores and it can be glued together.

As far as seal go, unless your temperature is fairly high, or you expect oil contamination in the plating bath, EPDM should work. If oil is an issue, use nitrile.

the solution should be clean (lab work) and we have HDPE in stock so I'm going to give that and EPDM a try.

thanks everyone
