Hello
I am kind of new to Abaqus simulation. sorry for the amateur questions.
I want to simulate the tensile behavior of a certain textile composite lamina for both elastic and plastic deformation.
My question is how should I define the material property. I have defined the epoxy material just fine, with both elastic and plastic data that I got from my own tensile test.
However, for my yarn I do not know how to exactly define my plastic data since it did not enter plastic deformation and just broke.
thank you for your help

In this case I would only define elastic properties of the yarn (linear or nonlinear) and maybe include its orthotropy. There's no need to add plasticity for all materials in the analysis.

Take a look at the article "Finite element compression modelling of 2x2 twill woven fabric textile composite" by A. Dixit et al. It may be helpful.
