Hi,

I am looking to wrap a Lithium Polymer battery with some sort of material that resists battery acid. The idea is that if the battery leaks, the acid will not damage anything next to the battery.

I would like to use something that is off the shelf or I can buy online.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Windell Jones

Things like the bags produced by Durafilm like Teflon Kapton, used a lot around electrical devices. and others would work.

there is one caveat and not knowing that much about these new fang led batteries you will have to check and see if your battery will vent hydrogen in amounts that would cause problems if trapped in the bag and suddenly released. I have to hand held devices that have purpose vents for H2 and state in the operating instructions that make sure you don't plug the vent.
