Hi everyone
I made a two-dimensional model in ABAQUS. I want to define the lateral condition myself, that is, a state between plane strain and plane stress. Does Abacus software have this capability? How?
Thanks for your help

You may have to use the UEL subroutine to create your own element definition but that's a very complex stuff. It might be easier to model the structure as a thin 3D slice and apply proper BCs and other types of constraints (e.g. equation constraints) to enforce the desired behavior.
