Good evening to All

We are on the point to perform the commissioning of a new Gas on Line Blending Unit. The unique aspect of this unit, all piping have a length of about 2 km, pipings are only "one way" route from one tank to another tank. The end user expects for a good mechanical cleaning of this piping, despite the fact all piping elements are new, carefully installed, the water was drained and piping preserved after hydrostatic test and the most difficult fact, is no way to form a close loop for any continuous flushing. My question is, do we really need to flush this piping? What alternatives are possible? Any argument to not flush is most welcome.
Any feedback is very high appreciated, may thanks in advance to all

Errr, can't you blow through some cleaning pigs? flexible pigs will navigate 1.5 D bends.

Depends what the client is concerned about - general dirt and grit or something that will affect his quality of product.

Alternatives are you install some filters and initially install some fine mesh filters to catch the dirt etc, but get ready to clean them quite frequently at the start and monitor the differential pressure.

"Flush" can mean different things to different people. Your client might mean pump until the product coming out the far end is the same quality as what went in. You might mean something else.

It's all rather vague I'm afraid so kind of a vague answer.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

Many thanks Petroleum. My plan is to install some start-up screens of 40 mesh.
