pipespec. corrosion allowance

Just saw something new;
guys here invented various corr. all. in one spec.
up to dn65 0,5mm ; up to dn65 1mm ; up to dn300 1,5mm,
Is it acceptable that small bores should be replaced more often in the same pipeline?
I should think it's not very practable.
Cracks, What's your opinion?

I dont see any immediate advantage to replace small bore piping if they're welded (to larger dia run pipes).
To me this is non-standard practice. Curious to hear other's opinions on this.
 
It's poor engineering practice to set Corrosion allowances based on pipe size. This is all dependant on the service conditions and material of construction.
