Dear All

I could not see any document about, what level tolerance requires a pipe rack between frames?
As all the pipe arrangement runs along them a civil tolerance is not allowed for a piping setting along the frame beams.
I will appreciate any information you can provide

Regards
Luis

The pipe rack is in position ONLY to support the pipes (flatness, angle to maintain a common drain pipe, avoid ponding, allow venting at high points, prevent movement (or restrain movement within support limits).

There is "no" civil allowance for position or tolerance like a highway bridge: The pipe rack must be built to maintain the pipe positions correctly within spec.

I have to say, that we have two types of pipe racks, one rebar concrete frame and others out of carbon steel.
I have been checking levels in the concrete one, and there are differences of as much as 23 mm between frames in 12 meters distance. The concrete transversal beams of every frame has a plate insert at the top, acting as an sliding element. May be I should have to instaal an extra plate, with medium thickness to compensate the differences.
