Does anyone know how to carry out a design check for a splice connection for a PFC (Channel Section) connection?

This is not given in the Eurocode and no software in our company has the capability of carrying this out.

Curious to know if anyone has any experience with designing splice to a channel section?

Many Thanks,

First principles. Make sure the base channels and the splice plates have the capacity to transfer the loads across the splice. I'm sure that there are design guides in the Eurocodes for checking shear load transfer between two plates. That's all you have, 3 times over.

The cap plates transfer the beam bending moment loads, the web plates transfer the beam shear loads. Work out the applied forces in the caps and web, then analyze the splice plates/fasteners/channel.
