Hello All:
for the PE exam, Regarding the concrete part, Are the structural topics of the Pe civil-strucral same as the SE exam?

Concrete part:
1. General Requirements
2. Strength Design Principles
3. Strength Design of Reinforced Concrete Beams
4. Serviceability Requirements for Beams .
5. Elastic Design Method .
6. Beams in Shear .
7. Deep Beams
8. Corbels
9. Beams in Torsion
10. Concrete Columns
11. Development and Splice Length of Reinforcement
12. Two-Way Slab Systems
13. Anchoring to Concrete14

The simplest answer is to note the SE exam explicitly includes seismic design category D & worse. PE structural will be much less in-depth on that particular topic.

Disclaimer: I'm a licensed PE. I looked into taking the SE, bought the study material, started studying, then had 3 kids in quick succession (bye bye free time). I never plan on getting around to taking the exam.
 
I practiced the SE exam topics and drilled them into my head, and then took the PE exam. Maybe I'm weird like that, but it worked. I was definitely over prepared, but that's not a bad thing.
