Hi
I'm a freelance consultant. At my last contract I worked with PDMWorks WorkGroup, but in my new contract we have PDMWorks Enterprise.
With Workgroup, files were saved locally, outside the database, and for example, you could log-out of the databse, work at home, off-line etc., and just log-in to the databse to check work back in.
Is my understanding correct, that the two products are conceptually different? For Enterprise, you have to be connected to the database all the time. If you go home, no Internet connection etc., what happens - can you still work?
I can't believe this is the case - it would be too limiting. What methodologies do people use for such a case?
Kind regards
Dave
