I have a pattern of quilts with 85 instances that I would like to use to cut a solid. Is there an easy way to do this in WF2? I had thought I could use "solidify" but it won't work with my directional pattern. Whats the easiest way to pattern a cut?

Thanks,

Miked

Hi miked

I think you should use the FIRST instance of patterned quilts for cut. After this is easy to create Pattern -> Reference, Done for the solidified cut.

Miked,

Here is something you can try.

I created a block. Then I created i surface that I wanted to solidify to remove material. Then I used the solidify feature to remove material.

Pattern the surface feature using directional pattern.

Use Ref pattern to pattern the solidify feature.

Thanks for the tips, I appreciate them.

What I ended up doing was redefining the first instance in my pattern as a solid cut and that did the trick.
