Is it possible to pattern a sketch or object within a sketch?

I wish to create a circular pattern of radial lines like a clock dial in 2D.

I can do it in drawing mode and in 3D part.

No but you can pattern construction curves. Create a sketch with the first radial line of your pattern. Exit sketch mode, activate the Derived Curve button and select your sketch line. Now you can pattern the curve and it will update according to your sketch geometry.

If you are running a current enough version of SE you can create both the sketch pattern and the radial line in the same sketch. Then use the sketch pattern to pattern the curve.

Hi,

if your intention is to do that in 2D-Draft then yes, you can do that.

- draw your line
- select it
- on the toolbar the cicular pattern should become activated, click it
- on the ribbon bar set the number of occurrences
and specify the sweep angle (<= 360)

now the pattern will follow your mouse, when satisfied --> LMB
and Finish.

Note: it's not a true pattern it's just a group of that lines
when the Function circular/rectangular pattern is not available
RMB in free space within one toolbar --> RMB --> Cutomize
--> Toolbars --> Drawing
select it and Drag & Drop it on a toolbar of your choice
