I have a working (but very touchy) example of the problem.

some times it regenerates, sometimes not. I've uploaded to the files section. and have a screen shot.

it is a:

curve, PATH.

PNT0, point on curve relative (0-1) distance value.

DTM1, plane through PNT1, Normal to curve.

TOOTH, sketch on base dtm using DTM1 ar right orientation ref. and only DTM1 andPNT0 as sketcher references

Exreude1, using tooth.

all grouped, and patterned .05 relative 20 instances.

sometimes it regenerates, sometimes not. very touchy.the datum geometry will pattern fine, but the tooth usually stays in one spot, or appears randomly all over.

been struggling with why? have been very carefull with references, but still not sure.
