Hi All,

I am looking for practical advice in the use of citric acid for the passivation of welds in duplex and austenitic stainless steels.

The search of the internet has many references but no hard data as to the practicalities. I understand that the citric acid may take longer than nitric/HF acid mix but can be accelerated by an increase in temperature, but that in itself may create an OH&S issue.
