I spend half my school life travelling on trains with open doors travelling at higher speeds than reported here.

Years ago I saw an ambulance round a corner rather quickly and both back doors flew open, revealing a patient on a gurney being worked on by a paramedic. Fortunately, ambulance gurneys are locked to the vehicle.

Fortunately, ambulance gurneys are locked to the vehicle.

Well, sort of. In Central America any way.
I was in an ambulance being taken to a clinic in a residential area.
The driver made an abrupt left turn so as to be able to back up to the curb.
That's when the pickup tee boned us.
The ambulance was driven about a meter sideways.
It was kind of hard on the male nurse, both drivers and both vehicles.
I hardly felt a thing.
Me and the gurney stayed where we were as locks let go and the ambulance moved about a meter sideways under us.
