I have a situation where the owner is having hvac fan coil systems installed throughout the house inside the floor framing. I have to provide the appropriate head outs but the majority of the units are 24"x36". My question is concerning the panel span rating that I specified for the floor sheathing.
I specified: 3/4" THICK PLYWOOD, STRUCT 1 EXTERIOR GLUE P.I.I 40/20.

When I review table 5 from the APA panel design specifications PS1 they list 3/4" thick APA rated sheathing with two separate panel span ratings, 40/20 & 48/24. This is confusing since the thickness remains the same. Is the plywood with a span rating of 48/24 constructed with a different grade of veneer, or glue that allows a greater span rating? Also there are no loads specified on this table so there is no way to tell if the 40/20 span rating is based on a lower total uniform load.

Any insight would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks
