I have a 5 ton rooftop package unit. Checked the charge, running 95 PSI suction, and 250 PSI head. I noticed major oil in the suction line. Since this is a package unit, with no linesets or up and down hill runs, what would cause the oil in the suction line?

If this is a packaged unit (not a split system) how did you see major oil in suction line? Please explain.

I found the oil by loosening the hose on my manifold set.
