I am trying to insertthe quantity of instances of a pattern in a note. The reserved variable is shown to be &p#. But no syntax or information about where to get this p-number is forthcoming. The pattern in question is a fill pattern. If anyone can tell me what the proper syntax is, and what number to use for the p-number (fid, sid, etc) I would greatly appreciate it.

TIA

Hi Fred,

If you go into show model annotations (used to be show erase in WF IIRC)go tothe notes tab and select the feature you're trying to dimension - you should get a note saying the number of instances in the pattern. You can either use switch dimensions or edit the properties of that note to find the p number which you can then use in a note.

Hope that helps.
