In a recent thread (thread488-172652) a poster said that the use of chemical adhesive anchors in an overhead application is prohibited, but did not give any indication as to where it was prohibited or who prohibited it. I've contacted HILTI on several occasions and they gave specific recommendation for using epoxy in an overhead application.

This is the first I've heard that it is prohibited. Can anyone elaborate on this original post?

I don't believe it is prohibited -- just make sure that what you are using is applicable to the application.

Get with the mfg.

About a year ago, we had a Hilti rep here for a presentation. They're no prohibited but there are stringent code requirements.
