One of the things that drives me crazy about MS project is that I cannot seem to get it to allow overallocations with a task that is completed in the future.

If you have a task that is scheduled in the future that is marked 100% complete and then you re-level work, incomplete tasks are moved around the completed item in the future. It should either allow an overallocation by default or have an option to allow overallocations for completed future tasks. A task that is done is done. It makes no sense to schedule other tasks around a task that is already done, even if it is in the future. What I have to do is to move the start date of the task so that it completes in the past to prevent this which is a major pain. If anyone knows how to deal with this, it would be really appreciated. Thanks.
