Hello All,

I am interested in the post-processing of Nastran results by means of fortran.
Is there someone that knows which would be the best output request (op2-punch-f06) ?. I have no issues in processing a text file with Fortran. The issue that I have is to find information about the format of these files.
My concerns:

1) I was not able to find in the Nastran documentation in formation about the format (spacing/fields) of the f06. How is this possible ????

2) The punch file is probably the more suitable for the above mentioned purpose but I have noticed that is by far bigger than the f06, so for big amount of output this makes quite a difference and I would not like to have files that are 2 times bigger than the correspondent f06 files.

3) I mention also the op2 because I have read somewhere in the web that is also used for postprocess of the results (without using Patran itself of course, because I already know that it can be attached to Patran to read the results). But, how can I understand the structure of the op2?? even when I ask for "formatted" there is inside a sequence of caracter that is absolutely incomprehensible to me.

thanks for your support!
