Due to the static electricity consideration, we always design jet fuel piping with maximum velocity limit of 3 m/s for pipe sizing.
My question is about the installation of orifice plate or slightly open globed valve in the piping system. The high velocity will be happenned at the vena contracta point. Are there any standards or references about the maximum limit velocity at orifice in jet fuel piping system? Please advise me.
