Orginal and Actual dates

Hi there,

I need to change the start date for an actual date, but I need to keep track of this change. Is there any way to save the original dates and be able to pull it out at any time?
I was thinking about customizing a column and change the header to "Original Date". Can I do this in MS Project.
Is there any other simple way to do this?
