Opening NX in teamcenter environment without Teamcenter started 1

Assuming you mean without the Teamcenter Rich Client, yes you can. The start_nxmanager.bat is for that purpose. You may have to edit the batch file to specify 2 or 4 tier connection. You will also have to set the tc server in your NX customer defaults (see image).
When you launch the batch, it will bring up a TC login and then launch NX after you've logged in.
