Open Source/ Free Software to Calculate Mechanical Properties for Composite?

Do you know and can you possibly suggest to me, any free software/open source platform that could calculate mechanical properties for composite? on the basis of micromechanical method and CLT? I know it is possible to compute using Matlab, but I don't know how to form the matrix and translate it to Matlab programming. Any suggestions really appreciated
