I'm looking into options for the best mnethod of online analysis in a difficult water. We need a minimum range of 0-100 ppm as NO3, preferrably higher. The water is high in chlorides (up to 20 g/L) and will have some biological activity.

Some of the UV types use SS probes which are no good in this application, and we have some concerns about the interference cause by the biological activity. Using an electrode, we have similar concerns with the high chlorides...

Danfoss has a UV type with a semi-permeable membrane to seperate the biology, but the range isn't high enough, and using a dilution flow is problematic as it may be difficult to get a make-up water with constant composition.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
