Could someone please explain to me what criteria is used to determine whether an oil well is rated a one or a six?

I like those sexy derricks better than those darned ground level pump jacks but that’s just me. Some people may prefer to address flow rates, etc.

Yes, they are pretty but their beauty doe not help me to understand what the scale means. I need that information so I can understand what the author meant when she rated an oil well a 5.5 on a sclae of six,
