What should be the oil content of treated water from an oil sepeartion plant in a tank farm area?

masihal, It depends on the type of process unit installed.
I've seen end of pipe requirements running from 250 ppm max. fats/oils/grease to sanitary sewers to less than 3 ppm FOG to surface waters.

Hope this helps.

Thanks saxon,

i came across some literature which indicates oil content in petroleum tank farm, is around 3000ppm and that at the outlet is 10ppm.

it depends where you plan to discharge, ground or water
